New Adult Winter Reading Program!

The Adult Winter Reading Program is Here!

Get Ready for the Trinidad Carnegie Public Library Adult Reading Program happening from January 23rd through March 17th, 2023!

Read to earn points and win wonderful prizes such as a reading journal and coffee mug!

Here's how you can earn points:
Four Books
The program centers around four featured books,  Circe by Madeline Miller, The Bear by Andrew Krivak, When the Emperor Was Devine by Julie Otsuka, and Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel.  You’ll earn 100 points by reading two of these books. Read all four and you earn 200 points.
Try Something New
Read a book that is a historical fiction, a graphic novel, a non-fiction, or audiobook and you’ll earn 25 points.
Read, Read, Read!
Keep track of how many hours you spend reading anything, including the featured books and genres described previously. You will receive 10 points for every hour you read, so keep track of all your reading time starting on January 23rd!
Fun Events
There will be three special events during the program. Attend an event and you'll earn 50 points. Events are listed below.

  • Movie Day!  Wednesday, February 8th, at 2:00 PM.
  • Book Discussion: Circe and The Bear, Thursday, March 2nd, at 6:00 PM.
  • Book Discussion: When the Emperor Was Devine and Station Eleven, Saturday, March 11th, at 1:00 PM.
