The program centers around four featured books. You’ll earn 200 points by reading two of these books. Read all four and you earn 400 points. Here are the featured books:

Heartland: A Memoir of Working Hard and Being Broke in the Richest Country on Earth, by Sarah Smarsh
The Cold Millions, by Jess Walter
Memoirs of a Geisha, by Arthur Golden
Next, we’ve selected some different book genres and book formats. Read a book from one of the selected genres and book formats and you’ll earn 50 points. Here is what we’ve selected this year:
We’ll also be keeping track of how many hours you spend reading, including the featured books and genres described above. You will receive 20 points for every hour you read, so keep track of all your reading time starting on January 22nd!
Attend a library event from January 22nd through March 18th and you will earn 50 points for each event attended.
For extra points, you can leave a review of the book that you read. You will earn 5 points for each review.
We will be keeping track of your progress on a computer app called READsquared. You’ll be able to enter your reading activities from your phone, home computer, or a computer at the library, or we can enter the data for you.
