A Quick Reminder About Our Public Posting Policy
We’ve recently had a few questions about how flyers are posted at the library and where previously posted flyers may have gone, so we wanted to share a friendly reminder about our public posting policy.
We’re happy to provide space for community events, resources, information, and local business cards!
Community Events Board: Flyers for upcoming events may be posted for up to one month or until the date of the event, whichever comes first.
Community Wall: Community information, resources, and business cards may be posted for up to six months.
Please remember that all materials must be brought to the front desk and approved by library staff before being posted. Once approved, a staff member will date and initial the flyer before it is placed on the appropriate board or wall. This helps our staff know that the item has been reviewed and when it should be removed.
A few important reminders:
- Flyers must be 8.5″ x 11″ or smaller due to our limited posting space.
- Please do not post materials yourself.
- Please do not remove or cover another person’s flyer to make room for your own. Library staff will manage the available posting space.
- Flyers or materials that have not been approved, dated, and initialed by library staff will be removed and discarded.
Space is limited, and library events, programs, and information take priority. Materials may also be removed when they expire or as space is needed. Posting materials does not imply endorsement by the Trinidad Carnegie Public Library.
For more information, you can view all of our policies on our website at trinidadpubliclibrary.org, stop by the library, or give us a call at 719-846-6841.
We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these policies. Thank you for helping us maintain an organized, welcoming, and comfortable space for all library users.
