Common Good Cafe

May 11 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm MDT
Common Good Cafe
Common Good Café is a monthly get-together where we discuss topics related to those things we all share in common, things like the weather, water, sunlight, public spaces, and time. We normally meet on the second Monday of the month, and this session is on Monday, February 9th, from 5:00 to 6:00PM. We will meet this time using Zoom Meeting, and you must register to join. To register, click this link:

The topic will be “Bread as a Common Good”. Bread – made out of various grains – is a staple food in many cultures and countries.
It used to be a major source of nutrition for many generations in American and Western-European countries. Yet the grain industry has changed, and many people now avoid carbohydrates and gluten altogether. Others – especially during the initial COVID shutdowns – have embraced heritage grains and homemade bread-baking, including sourdough bread
What are factors that have contributed to this change? Let’s exchange knowledge and stories about grains and bread. Are there specific things happening in Colorado to pay attention to? Or even locally in our area?
You are welcome to join, prepared or unprepared.
